Rather than having a fixed trailer ball that obstructs your truck bed space or a removable ball that locks into place using a set of pins, a folding ball gooseneck hitch features a permanently attached ball that hinges down into a small compartment within the hitch. When folded down, the gooseneck ball remains out of the way and allows you to make full use of your truck bed. When folded back up again, it provides a reliable towing connection for your gooseneck trailer. No matter which position the ball is in, it remains fixed to your pickup truck, deterring theft and preventing loss. The CURT over-bed folding ball gooseneck hitch is just another example of CURT quality and ease of use. This durable hitch has a gross trailer weight capacity up to 30,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 7,500 lbs. A 2-5/16 in. trailer ball, 3/8 in. thick top plate, six-hole mounting design and U-bolt safety chain hookups ensure that your trailer and payload stay securely attached. This is where CURTs custom wiring connectors come into play. A custom wiring connector uses a single original equipment plug to plug into a special socket provided by your vehicle. Though this option is not available on every vehicle, some automotive manufacturers design their vehicles to be easily equipped for towing by supplying a socket, integrated into the vehicles electrical system, to readily accept a custom wiring connector. With a CURT custom wiring connector, there is no need to tap into the taillight assembly because a special socket is already provided. This special custom wiring connector actually provides two connector sockets for a multipurpose option. It plugs into an OEM connector and offers a 4-way flat and 7-way RV blade connector. It offers free, unimpeded movement of the 5th wheel head, allowing it to tilt in any direction. Once coupled to the kingpin, the head pivots and angles with your 5th wheel trailer, providing a smooth, quiet ride. It also uses a pair of dual-locking jaws to completely wrap the kingpin and ensure a secure vehicle-trailer connection. To make the Q25 even quieter, it comes with three grease fittings and a polyethylene lube plate for optimum lubrication. Constructed from strong carbon steel and rigorously tested for safety in accordance with SAE J2638, the Q25 5th wheel hitch is the ideal extension for your full-size pickup truck. To ensure good functionality and a long life under the most strenuous towing conditions, this 25K 5th wheel hitch is coated in a carbide black powder coat finish, giving it highly durable protection against rust and wear. This particular Q25 hitch comes with a set of CURT OEM puck system 5th wheel legs, designed to be mounted on select Chevrolet or GMC long-bed pickup trucks with the truck bed puck system (year range specific). Using a set of quarter-turn anchors, the legs quickly and easily drop into the pucks, instantly mounting the Q25 hitch and equipping the truck for 5th wheel towing. These wiring harnesses are designed to put an extra connector socket in the bed of your pickup truck while still retaining power to the rear connector socket mounted on your bumper. This is done by plugging into the back of the existing original equipment (OEM) harness and routing through the body of the truck to a hole in the truck bed, providing a connector that is ready to accommodate your 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer. This CURT extension harness is designed to work with 7-way RV blade connectors and comes in a length of 7. The CURT OEM puck system 5th wheel slider adapter for GM pickups combines the functionality of a CURT 5th wheel slider with the strength and convenience of GMs truck bed puck system. The adapter is designed to securely mount a CURT 5th wheel slider and hitch head into the bed of your Chevy or GMC truck, using the OEM puck system. It is designed to fit the puck system in select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD with 6.5-foot bed (see application info to verify fitment) (compatible with CURT 5th wheel hitches only). It features a set of adjustable, quarter-turn anchors to quickly and easily drop into the pucks and provide a moveable platform for the 5th wheel coupling point. It features a capacity of 20,000 lbs. and is compatible with most CURT 5th wheel heads (weight capacities are limited to the lowest-rated towing component). Like our OEM puck system 5th wheel legs, the key feature of the GM 5th wheel slider adapter is its quarter-turn anchors. With the hitch head and slider initially bolted onto the adapter, the adapter can easily be dropped into place whenever needed and secured with the quarter-turn anchors. The anchors can also be adjusted to help eliminate chucking noises between the adapter and under-bed platform while towing. When you are finished towing, simply turn the anchors to remove the entire assembly within seconds. The CURT 5th wheel slider adapter for select Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks provides the ultimate in versatility for the CURT 5th wheel line. Using the heavy-duty operating handle, the trailer ball can be unlocked and flipped over whenever necessary to allow full use of the truck bed. For easy one-person installation, the Double Lock EZr comes with the CURT-exclusive center locator. This simple installation tool inserts into the gooseneck trailer ball hole during installation and shows exactly where to drill in the truck bed, eliminating errors and the need for meticulous measuring.
